Appearance: An immensely strong, heavy-duty spitz-type worker, standing 23-25 inches. Recognizable by substantial bone, a deep chest, powerful shoulders, a dense, weatherproof coat, erect ears, and a well-furred plumed tail carried over the back. Almond-shaped brown eyes convey affection.
Traits & Characteristics: Affectionate, loyal, playful but dignified. Originally an arctic sled dog. As pack animals, they require clear leadership. Well-behaved Mals are playful, gentle, and good with kids.
