Bloodhound

Appearance: Large, substantial dogs (23-27 inches, up to 110 lbs). Famous features: long, wrinkled face with loose skin, huge drooping ears, warm deep-set eyes expressing solemn dignity. Coat colors: black and tan, liver and tan, or red. Powerful legs for tracking over miles. World-famous 'Sleuth Hound'.

Traits & Characteristics: World's best at finding people. Docile off-duty, but relentless and stubborn on a scent. Enjoy company (pack dogs). Easygoing, but nose can lead them into trouble. Droolers; training can be challenging.
