Brabancon Griffon

Appearance: Tiny (5-15 lbs) toy dog with a human-like expression from big eyes. Comes in rough (Schnauzer-like) or smooth (Pug-like) coats. Four colors: red, belge (black & reddish-brown), black & tan, black. Black muzzle/whiskers earned 'bearded dog' nickname. Thickset, sturdy body; purposeful trot.

Traits & Characteristics: Huge personality in a small package. Smart, devoted, comically self-important. Sensitive companion for adults. Alert, sociable, easily trained. Playful/energetic but too small/sensitive for rough play with kids. Low threshold for loneliness, stick close to their human.
