Appearance: Long, low-set dog with sturdy bone, short legs, deep chest. Powerful workers of deceptive speed/grace (25-34 lbs). Several coat colors (red to blue-merle). Distinguished from Pembrokes by having a tail.
Traits & Characteristics: Masterpiece perfectly suited for moving cattle, yet congenial and sweet-faced. Trainable, faithful, vigilant guardians with a big-dog bark. Fond of kids, agreeable with pets. Athletic, rugged herders loving outdoors, mental stimulation, physical activity.
