Appearance: Strong, powerfully built gundog (21-26 inches, up to 80 lbs). Distinctive wavy, oily, waterproof coat (chocolate brown, sedge, or deadgrass). Keen yellow-amber eyes complement coat. Peerless duck dog.
Traits & Characteristics: Embodies classic retriever traits: loyal, upbeat, affectionate, tireless. More emotionally complex than usual gundogs. Take to training but have own mind, can be tenacious. Protective of humans, polite but not overtly friendly to strangers. Excellent watchdogs, versatile athletes.
