Ibizan Hound

Appearance: Lithe, leggy visitor from dawn of civilization (22.5-27.5 inches). Elongated head, large erect ears (familiar from ancient Egyptian art). Coat colors: solid red/white, or red/white patterns. Rosy nose/eye-rims/lips, amber/caramel eyes complement coat. Quiet grace often described as deer-like. Often called Beezer.

Traits & Characteristics: Bred as rabbit courser on rocky shores. World-class sprinters/leapers needing ample space. Even-tempered, polite, quiet indoors. Playful clown with family, reserved with strangers. Sensitive hounds needing positive training.
