Irish Red and White Setter

Appearance: Athletic medium-sized bird dog (bit shorter/stockier than Irish Setter). Stunning coat: vivid red islands on pearl white base (helps hunters spot them). Powerful, solid, sinewy. Handsome face projects keen but kindly expression.

Traits & Characteristics: Rollicking, fun-loving, friendly, high-spirited. Bred primarily for hunting; enough stamina/bird sense for the job. Devoted, dependable, trainable family companions. Need exercise/attention.

Origins: Ireland (older than the solid red Irish Setter).
