Appearance: Compact, toy-size terrier (under 7 lbs). Crowning glory is floor-length, silky coat of steel blue and rich golden tan. Often called Yorkie.
Traits & Characteristics: Beneath dainty, glossy coat beats heart of feisty, old-time terrier. Earned living as ratters in mines/mills before becoming lapdogs. Tenacious, feisty, brave, sometimes bossy (true terrier traits). Pack big-town attitude in small package (favorites of urbanites). Long-lived, hypoallergenic, fine little watchdogs. True personality breed: years of laughs, love, close companionship.
